Here is what you will need:

  • 12oz flatbread or refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 or 2 Bartlett Pears, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup crumbled Gorgonzola
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • (opt) Arugula
  • (opt) chopped walnuts
  • (opt) Honey

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and place flatbread on parchment paper, a pizza stone or a baking sheet. If using a pizza crust, shape the dough and pre-bake for 10 minutes.

Arrange pears and Gorgonzola on crust, sprinkle with walnuts if so desired, then drizzle with honey. Can even add some extra layers with a dab of EVOO to help bring out the flavor of the crust – we recommend Tuscan Herb or Basil.  Bake for 10 minutes then remove. Add arugula, and drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Choose from Garlic White Balsamic, Hickory Smoked, or our favorite Fig.
